The pathway to permanent residence for students who have completed:
1.
Master’s degree by research or Doctorate
degree (PHD), AND
2.
Studied at an
Australian educational institution, AND
3.
Studied at least
2 academic years at the Australian educational institution in one of the
specified fields: science,
technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) or Information, Computer, and
Technology (ICT)
Benefits for STEM graduates
Australia Points Test changes for STEM graduates
has been effected since November 2019.
STEM graduates can obtain 10 points (Previously 5 points) under Specialist Educational Qualifications for the GSM (General skilled
Migration) points test.
Applicable to all GSM (General Skilled Migration) visa categories:
- Skilled Independent Subclass 189 Visa
- Skilled Nominated Subclass 190 visa
- Skilled Regional (Provisional) Subclass 491 Visa
These extra points will be counted for those graduates who have a degree in:
