The Department has released the details of SkillSelect’s April 2020 invitation round.
Invitation rounds for Skilled Independent visa
(subclass 189) and Skilled
Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) – Family
Sponsored visas will be run once a month.
Invitations issued on 11 April 2020
The number of invitations for the Skilled Independent 189 visa in this round has dropped to 50 (an decrease compared to the March month of 1,700 invitations).

The highest ranked applicants or those that have scored the highest points are sent an invitation to apply to apply towards the relevant visa.
For those candidates that have scored equal points scores, the particular time at which they have reached on the required their points score for that subclass (referred to as the date of effect) determines their order of invitation.
