Extension of 485 Visa (Temporary Graduate Visa)


Holders of 485 visas who have met the below criteria will be eligible for a one year extension of their visa.

Graduated from the regional campus of a university or institution with a bachelor degree or higher.

Maintained residence in a regional area while holding their first Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) Visa.
>>  Maintain ongoing residence in a regional area while holding their second Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa 

Current student visa holders graduating on or after 2021 will be eligible for this visa.
>> This initiative simply provides an additional incentive for international students to study and live in regional Australia.




Access an additional 1 year in Australia on a post-study work visa.

Perth, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Canberra (All postcodes in the ACT), Newcastle/Lake Macquarie, Wollongong/Illawarra Geelong, and Hobart

Category 3 / Regional centres and other regional areas
Access an additional 2 years in Australia on a post-study work visa.
