Western Australia State Nomination




After graduation, international students who develop skills Australia needs have the option of applying for permanent residence.

The graduate stream to its State Nominated Migration Program (SNMP) which provides a pathway to skilled migration for international students who have a Western Australian Qualification;

n  a university or higher education qualification (registered by TEQSA). This includes a PhD, Masters, Bachelor or higher degree (Bachelor Honours Degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma); and/or

n  a vocational education and training (VET) qualification at a Certificate III level or above (registered by ASQA).

At least two years study in Western Australia;

Full-time and face-to-face, also you can use study from different qualifications to make up the two years. (This can include university/higher education; VET (Certicate III level); and/or English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS). This is two years living and studying in Western Australia.)

Have an occupation on Western Australia’s Graduate Occupation List.

Through the SNMP, the Government of Western Australia nominates eligible migrants for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) and Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)
